WoW!!! Where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday when I was floundering around on my blog trying to figure out how to move widgets and gizmos around, oh yeah THAT did happen yesterday! HaHa! But really, in a way it feels like I have always had my blog. I am so grateful for the friends who encouraged me to start it. The friends who helped me get it going and the friends I still go to when I need advice on where the widgets and gizmos go. I couldn't have done it without you!
The things that I have done in the past year, of course in my mind, I feel like I haven't done enough. You ask my husband he would likely agree unfortunately lol :-) I have all of these ideas floating in my head, and I get the most accomplished as I sleep, yes, I mean while I dream. Those quilts come out perfect, the binding on simple as pie and then I wake up and then I realize I still need to get it finished. Ohhhh and did I mention, I also win awards in my sleep for my quilts, they are my dreams you know...hehehe!
So if I follow the inspirational quote up on my oldest son's bureau by Walt Disney that I bought him a few years back that says "Dream ~ All dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."
This encourages me to remember that my dreams are achievable as long as I keep trying. As I wander back downstairs towards the kitchen and look up on the wall and yet see another quote by Walt Disney regarding dreams, it says, "Dream ~ If you can dream it you can do it."
It reminds me yet again I need to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Don't tell anyone I said, well typed that out loud, that is really hard to admit and especially put right out there admitting my flaws and imperfections. But all I can do is be aware of it and move on from there. And push the negativity to the curb.....Boooooo-Yah!
So, I guess this past year with the start of this blog, my Twitter account, Google+, Pinterest (addictive) and my Facebook quilting page it has been about pursuing a dream and even though I have no idea how close I am to reaching it, I know that I am not finished until I get to that finish line no matter how many times that will be and run laps around the ballpark to thank all of my great friends and family for their encouragement, kind words and support along the way! Thank you for my first year and I am looking forward to the next 99+! xox

Great hearing from you PT =) I have no plans on my agenda to stop, but it seems there are speed bumps and detours along the way every now and then that I don't plan for, you know? xo ~ Tiffiny =)
DeleteRaising those children is the greatest thing you can do. Keeping your family togther and teaching them right and wrong is the obligation of every mother so you have done great things Tiffiny. I do say Congratulations on your one year of blogging. I don't even keep track. There was an old song about dreaming which you probably know, Dream when your feeling blue, dream and it might come true, things never are as bad as they seem, so dream dream, dream. Many blessings to you Tiffiny.
ReplyDeleteJudy, you are a sweetheart! Thank you again for such kind words. They really do mean a lot to me, hugs for you.
DeleteI am sure a few years from now, I will likely lose count as well, just this 1st one was difficult to not recognize as my 1st, you know :-)
PS...I am thinking if I heard the song I would know it, so it looks like me and youtube have a date later hehe :-)
